Heavy Storm at Mid Continent Railway Museum – July 14, 2021

A serious but brief storm taken through North Freedom and Baraboo around the evening of This summer 14, 2021. Mid-Continent’s webcams taken the storm because it folded in. The strong winds caused numerous trees to interrupt or lose braches round the museum property and knocked over 30 trees lower onto Mid-Continent’s rail line. Fortunately, the winds and tree fall caused minimal harm to museum structures and moving stock. Because of quick cleanup efforts by volunteers and staff, Mid-Continent is anticipated to become open ready for operation prior to the weekend.

The recording features views from two different webcams. The 2nd sequence shows the dramatic transfer of wind direction because the storm hit.
